Specialized, secure and dedicated care.

For your loved ones who are living with memory loss such as Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia, Aberdeen Village is a resource you can trust. As a community of Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America — which opened the very first center specializing in memory loss care in the state of Kansas — Aberdeen Village is dedicated to enriching life for our residents who have memory impairments, and their families.

Through our Whispering Meadows neighborhood, we’re able to provide the kind of support a family wants for their loved one — compassionate and understanding, within the safest environment possible, 24 hours a day. Our memory loss care is designed to adjust to the changing needs of those with Alzheimer’s or other dementia, so life can remain as uninterrupted as possible.

Memory loss care services include:

  • Meals served in a family dining environment
  • 24-hour staff supervision
  • Specialized therapeutic activities for physical and mental stimulation
  • Daily housekeeping service and laundry
  • Assistance with ADLs as needed
  • Private outdoor courtyard
  • Emergency call system
  • Medical transportation

How is memory loss care different from other kinds of long-term care?
More cognitive-based than physical, the unique needs of those living with Alzheimer's, dementia or other forms of memory loss require an environment that is both designed for safety and also encourages interaction. Staff members are trained in partnership with the Alzheimer's Association, so we understand how to help residents thrive — and families enjoy more quality time together.

Memory loss care is part of the comprehensive continuing care services offered at Aberdeen Village. For more details, call us toll-free at 1-866-212-3327 or contact us online.
